I graduated from Harmony Magnet Academy. going to college at the University of Southern California in management shooting. H May really set me up for 6 past 4 was one the technical skills preparation and once I went off to college they gave me I use HMA engineering experience as a leverage versus my iPod generations of engineers in the sky a second thing that HMA really set me up for success for the professional networking we had many opportunities to conduct interviews with professional internships and we even have centers in the classroom when I went to college I did not hesitate to get in contact with professional and start building my network I also did some interviews right now. Had a research lab position my first year as a freshman advice I would like to give to a student is to always follow your dreams you always get obstacles in life or The Rock in high school and college that will make you second-guess yourself of your goal but if you stay determined eventually complete your goal and you just have to keep your eyes on the prize everyone this is Advil from the class of 2012 after 8 years post graduating find myself working in Tech alongside big companies such as Google and Samsung as well as other very small startups as a design consultant and I think it goes without say that without Harmony I wouldn't be here where I am today I think Harmony enabled the tools for me to learn really quickly whether it was working with up-to-date software or understanding engineering principles at a really young age it helped Propel what I learned in college and what I do to stay so with that being said I can't really say that I would be here without it and go Knights hi my name is Elizabeth and I'm a graduate of the harmony Magnet Academy class of 2012 Performing Arts once I graduated from hmai went on to pursue and obtain my bachelor's degree in agricultural business from Fresno State and then later my Master's in communication from the University of Southern California currently I'm serving out the director of trade for a number of agricultural trade associations who represent the Apple blueberry Olive and rice industries of California at my position with these organizations has allowed me to have a lot of really interesting and unique international travel experiences I will promote in California Agriculture in overseas markets I really never thought in my life that I would have the opportunity to do the things that I've been able to do so far and I really owe a lot of experiences at Harmony my time at HMA really prepared me for these real-world experiences by teaching me how to get outside of my comfort zone when working with industry professional had it not been for career prep interviews and internship experiences that I was able to have while in high school I really don't think that I would have the same level of confidence that I do today in my career had it not been for my internship experience in college I would definitely not be in the position that I am staying at work if I could give one piece of advice current students it would definitely be to seek these internship opportunities wherever possible I urge you to take advantage of these while you're in high school the sooner you start the better and Beyond because you really never know where they're going to leave you
