Tulare County Academic Decathlon Overall Winner
On Saturday February 1, 2025 Harmony competed in the Tulare County Academic Decathlon competition. Students competed at three levels based on Grade Point Average: Varsity, Scholastic and Honors, which is the highest. Students compete in 10 different areas. There are seven subject areas, essay, speech and interview. The scores are tabulated from each area to determine the winners. Overall, Harmony students won 54 medals: 12 first, 22 second, 20 third. Judith Gomez scored highest overall points in science, Dani Ramos scored highest overall in interview and Danny Rodriguez scored highest overall in art, music, social science and was the overall point scorer in the honors category and for the entire competition. Alex Delgado was the highest overall point scorer for the Varsity category.
The team will represent Tulare County and PUSD at the state competition at the Santa Clara Marriott on March 20-23.
